Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her debut EP Pho, released on October 21 2016, was released through Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012, with the debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, she continued to share her music over the internet including her independently release single Bound. On 21st of July 2015, Omen included her in Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to collaborate with Rihanna. The announcement of her decision to be signed to Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. The record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, the EP Pho debuted. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change, and she performed in her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as opening artist. In 2018, she was able to be a guest on two songs with her label-mates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July 2018. A music video later released in September. Then, in November, she released the singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. The 13th of November, she dropped two singles titled The No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby was then able to make an appearance in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this track as a single in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February of 2019, her music video to this track debuted. It has had more than 3 million YouTube views in just one week. She was one of the support acts for 6LACK on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
